Northern Folklore Archive are extremely proud to present PLAY THAT FOLKY MUSIC.

An evening of songs performed by fabulous folk musicians from the North, your eyes and ears will experience the haunting, melodic and heartfelt styles of HerOrangeCoat, Zoë Eliza and Burd Ellen.

Georgia is a musician performing as HerOrangeCoat, and lives in West Yorkshire. With her ukulele in hand and influenced by her life experiences to date, she weaves a rich tapestry of sound, turning melancholy into an enticing musical journey.

Zoë Eliza, is an emerging northern England musician, showcases her unique style influenced by both English folk traditions and the rich musical heritage of Lancashire folk, making waves in Glasgow and beyond.

Burd Ellen is an experimental musical experience featuring Debbie Armour (Alasdair Roberts, Green Ribbons) and Gayle Brogan (Pefkin, Electroscope). The group uses traditional song to explore and evoke dark landscapes and deep stories. Innovative instrumentation, drone and sound-wash support detailed vocal work to create a unique sonic atmosphere.
